I want to call these folks idiots, rant about them, and froth at the mouth over their sheer stupidity, but honestly, they’re making me snicker and I fear I will eventually, literally, for real, LOL:

Actually, I think we should have annual awards for the funniest stuff like this and give out “Bananas.” It’s stupid to start with, but if you know anything about the cultivation of bananas, it becomes a true howler. Wait. Is he (or she) really proposing that there has always been 6 billion people on the planet? And furthermore, is he proposing that there have been so for 3 billion years?
That seems… I don’t know. I’d say it was stupid, but I almost think it comes across as if it’s done on purpose. Surely noone would make those kinds of mistakes.
Wherever did you find it? And are there more of stuff like that? I’d love to read it, even if my brain screams at the flaws. It’s like driving on, and the suddenly changing to reverse. That’s how my brain feels when logic like that is in front of it.
I’ve got links at the end of the post. Basically it’s PZ Meyers, and there’s a chance that he got sent that image as a hoax. Maybe it was done on purpose, but fundamentalists often make stupid arguments, so who knows?
It reminds me of the stupid argument that goes, “If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?” Just mind-numbingly stupid, so I think it’s possible.

Man, bias trumps thinking for too many. A little science would inoculate even the idiots, at least enough to avoid this. They are DUMB. DUMB. DUMB. They “appreciate the math” in the footnotes. Anyone swallowing this should bury their heads and admit they should be ignored for EVER. But they don’t. They just go on and people go on listening to them like they have a clue. It’s fucking sad.

Yeah, it’s scary reading the comments. And it’s obvious even if someone did this as a hoax, there are plenty of super-biased fundamentalist idiots who will use it and don’t have a clue how stupid it is.

Just so you guys know, that landover site is a parody. All the “christians” there are really making fun of fundamentalists. Good thing because I was losing all hope for humanity if there were that many truly stupid people posting there. Not that fundamentalists can’t be really really stupid.
