@ProfBrotherton on Twitter

April 20th, 2009

OK, I’ve taken the twitter plunge.  Jay Lake was telling me how he used his iphone in rural China to get help with a translation via twitter, and had a response in a couple of minutes.  The future is here.

I’m not an early adopter of things, but I usually jump in when something looks for real.  I am @ProfBrotherton on Twitter, and I’m looking for people to follow me and vice versa.

    Thanks (and also to everyone else signing on). I’m still figuring out how to work all this stuff. I’m a smart, technically savvy guy, but I see myself calcifying the way I saw it happen to older professors when I was a grad student. You don’t have time to play with the new toys because of all the things going on, and you hope your students can manage the technical details.
