March 18th, 2008
A bunch of us over at sfnovelists.com decided to share our experience with selling synopses. A novel synopsis is a short document that describes a book well enough and completely enough that an editor can decide if it’s a book they’d be interested in buying (either to then buy under contract from an established pro or to request or start reading the submitted manuscript). So on Tuesday, March 18th, you should find professional and selling synopses for science fiction/fantasy novels here and on the pages below.

There’s also a book available that has other samples of plot synopses in it. It’s called I Have This Nifty Idea: Now What Do I Do With It? [Amazon; Mysterious Galaxy], edited by Mike Resnick. Check it out for more samples!
