More Evidence for Dark Matter? (Or has someone been drinking too much?)

There are indications that an orbiting experiment called PAMELA is finding an excess positron signal consistent with expectations of some dark matter candidates. Isn’t it cool to be able to write a sentence like that and have it be science, not science fiction???!!!

OK, briefly then, the leading contender would be something termed “Minimal Dark Matter” and the actual particle is something called a wino. Yes, seriously, a wino. My editor would probably ask me to change the name.

I don’t know much about this model/particle at all. A google search does not provide simple explanations. Sigh. Sometimes all the letters after my name mean nothing.
