Free Science Fiction Audio Story: “Pearl”

This is an audio recording of me reading one of my stories from the 1990s. The story is called “Pearl” and was published in Tales of the Unanticipated, issue number 17. It was an honorable mention for Datlow and Windling’s Best Fantasy and Horror.
It’s a disturbing, R-rated story. Science fiction horror. I like the story still, although I would write it a little differently today. While I am all about the hard sf and science these days, really disturbing horror scratches an itch I still have.
