Summer vacation part 2: An American in Paris
So while I was working on astronomy as a visiting scientist at ESO (in Munich) this summer, I took a weekend in Paris. I visited the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Catacombs, took in a show at the Moulin Rouge, etc. Busy weekend. I was supposed to hook up with a cute girl named Lindsey who I met in the Atlanta airport and who was spending the summer in Paris. She got her dates screwed up and went to Amsterdam that weekend. C'est la vie.
As I was about to enter the "empire of the dead" I had another guy in the Catacombs snap a picture of me. Can you really see through me like I'm a ghost? Quite strange.
