Astronomer/mirror builder extrordinairre Roger Angel has proposed a scheme to shade the Earth from the sun to counteract the effects of global warming. It's interesting. From a science ficiton angle, I wonder about nations and civilzation long term dealing with groups clearly and intentionally altering fundamental things like the sunlight reaching Earth. While global warming will surely cause more harm than good, there will be those to benefit. Will they suck it up when such a mission is launched, or fight it?
