I've reviewed short stories and story collections for Tangent, most of which appeared in the now-vanished print version. I've got a couple of reviews that are still hanging around in cyber-space, however. With my astronomy career and novel writing, I just got too busy to review regularly. Besides, science fiction is a small, incestuous community and it is all too easy to make enemies with a bad review. Writers shouldn't pay too much attention to reviews, but we surely do.

I still do a little reviewing on, but I mainly stick to non-fiction books these days, typically science related. You can find my reviews here. When I do review genre fiction, I usually do it anonymously and I usually only do it to help promote friends' books or books that I think are fantastic but overlooked (sometimes these are the same thing unfortunately). Who really needs another review of the latest Harry Potter book?
