My first Valentine's Day as a single in years...I thought I might go out to some bars and see who else was single, but I'm still recovering from this dang cold from hell. Maybe next year. In the meantime, I thought I could come up with a minimum of geeky science astro Valentine bittersweetness:
Your heart collapses like a black hole
I strive to fill with a never ending photon flux --
But isn't that always the unavoidable crux --
That no matter how much light, darkness can never be made whole?
Spinar, quasar, pulsar
Planet, star, galaxy
White dwarf, red dwarf, brown dwarf
Millions, billions, trillions
So much in the sky, still so alone
Okay, enough of that. I'm a writer, but no poet. Have a good holiday!
